If played right, sports games can be relaxing. Whenever I need to take a break from work or from following the Fastbet betting markets, I like to unwind with some sports action of my own. Here are some of the best sports-themed games that will help you loosen up, (or get pumped, as the case may be).
Rocket League
Do you like soccer? What if it was played by cars on each team, instead of eleven humans? This is what Rocket League is, essentially. You control one of up to 8 cars that try to score the winning goal. The awesomeness comes in the form of the cars themselves since you can play with Hot Wheels cars, as well as DC superhero cars, both of which are available as DLC. Break the physics, launch the ball, and enjoy.
NBA 2K19
This is the latest installment in the NBA 2K franchise. The amazing thing about this basketball game is its range – it is available on all relevant platforms, and not just your PC. The game has seen some improvements from the previous installments in the franchise, though some players are less than thrilled by the fact that the microtransactions are still there. Still, it is one of the best basketball games out there that focuses on more than just the action on the court.
F1 2018
If you are a fan of the F1 series, look no further. The 10th installment of Formula One series is made using the EGO Engine 3.0. It is a racing game that is available both in single player and multiplayer mode. In career mode, you do more than just improve yourself as the driver, you improve your car one step at a time, as well. There is even a mobile version if you are into that sort of thing.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003
I know what you’re thinking. There were a few games before it and about a dozen after it. The game is old. However, we prefer to think of it as a classic that is definitely worth your time. To give you an idea about how old the game is, it was available on now-decommissioned PlayStation 2. The reason it is on this list is simple – it is, arguably, the best game in the franchise. If you are looking for another installment with a similar feel, we recommend Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005.
Out of the Park Baseball 2007
This one requires some getting used to. According to Metacritic, this game is one of the highest, if not the highest rated game. If you are not into simulations, you should probably give it a pass. However, if you are looking for a lot of sim action with very little input and the option to duke it out with other players online OOTP 2007 is the way to go.
Football Manager 2010
You are in charge of a soccer team. You don’t play the games, nor do you improve an individual player’s skills. Instead, you take the wheel and do whatever it takes to take your soccer team to the top, through trades, partnerships, games and sponsorship deals. It is perfect for the gamers that like to be in control of things and organize everything neatly.
